Catholic Charities' FACE-Kids Connections links children and families to community mental health services who otherwise would not have access to them.
These families face barriers that prohibit access to services such as lack of transportation, inconvenient service locations, parents and teachers who minimize children's needs for mental health care, and families that have an overall distrust or disconnection of mental health services.
A full time Coordinator works directly with each identified child, the family, school, and mental health agencies to ensure that the child receives uninterrupted mental health services. Utilizing partnerships FACE-Kids currently has formed with the Madison Metropolitan School District, the FACE-Kids Connections program currently is being implemented in some elementary and middle schools in Madison.
