Developmental Disability Counseling promotes individual choice and each person’s right to freedom and dignity.
Developmental Disability Counseling helps people with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injury experience maximum opportunity for self-actualization and integration.
Developmental Disability Counseling staff are vested in a commitment to an individualized approach. Knowledge and expertise are combined to provide effective case management, therapeutic intervention and meaningful support to individuals and their families.
Who Is Eligible
A voluntary service for children and adults who have a developmental disability (mental retardation, epilepsy, autism, cerebral palsy) or traumatic brain injury.
Service is available to Rock County residents and as determined eligible by the Rock County Developmental Disabilities Board. Medical Assistance is billed for eligible services.
All programs are open to individuals regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, national origin, or disability.

Family Support Program includes:

In home support for families who have children with severe disabilities

Information and assistance in finding service programs and maximizing community resources

Limited funding to buy needed services that cannot be bought through other sources

Help in linking families with other families to strengthen natural supports
Supportive Parenting Program includes:

Assistance and support with: nutrition, safety, discipline, budgeting, self-esteem, age appropriate play and expectations
