Catholic Charities Counseling May is National Mental Health Awareness Month! We have outpatient psychotherapy counseling programs for individuals, couples, and families.

Congratulations to the St. John the Baptist Respite Care Team Ministry members! They received a United Way of Dane County Community Volunteer Award at the 2012 Award Luncheon.

Voluteers Needed We currently have a waiting list of elders in need of assistance with rides to a food pantry, assisting with outings/trips to the grocery store, and having friendly visits. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Jean Mueller at (608) 833-4800 ext. 112.

Events

Caregiver Training Sessions Our Caregiver Training course teaches hands-on instruction from Jean Mueller, RN. You'll learn how to move, lift and transfer properly, how to minimize falls and how to control infections. The $20.00 fee includes take home materials and refreshments. Upcoming classes will be held on May 19th and June 9th.

"Attachment in Infant Adoption" will be presented on May 31, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. by Jennifer Winkelmann, MA, LPC, NCC, who is also the Founder and Clinical Director of Inward Bound, LLC. Jennifer’s primary clinical focus is adoption and foster care issues, including a specialty in work with children who have suffered attachment trauma.

Join us for our 4th Annual Autism Conference June 14-15 which will focus on how individuals on the autism spectrum experience emotions.

2012 Golf Event Join us for the 16th Annual Golf Tournament on June 18, 2012 at Blackhawk Country Club in Madison. The Golf Tournament directly benefits our Adoption, Pregnancy Counseling, and Youth programs. Click here for your invitation!

Catholic Charities Aging Conference Our 2nd Annual Aging Conference will be on September 20, 2012. This gathering is ideal for seniors, formal and family caregivers, social workers, nurses and other medical professionals.

The 3rd Catholic Charities Sunday Celebration in on October 14, 2012. This is a Diocesan-wide recognition of the mission and work done by our agency.

The 17th Annual Faith In Action Awards Dinner will be on November 8, 2012 at the Marriott West in Middleton. Proceeds from this event go directly to our Family and Aging programs.
